Responsibilities
Effectively tell the story in a meaningful way through vivid and compelling character acting and movement
Create quality animation using digital tools for feature films and other related projects
Work closely with Directors and Animation Supervisors in a feature film environment:
Receive assigned shots in sequence review with the Directors providing general guidance
Plan shots with an understanding of story/character context
Block animation, most commonly using audio dialog track
Clearly show performance ideas and shot blocking in Director review (animation dailies)
Collaborate with and take direction from Directors and Animation Supervisors
Implement changes and completely finish shots in accordance with production schedule
Develop a working knowledge of necessary production tools
Maintain an open and professional demeanor regarding direction, changes and shifting requirements
Requirements
Visual demonstration (Quicktime or web link preferred) of animation that illustrates visual storytelling, believable expressions, emotional states, weight, physics, balance, appeal, entertainment, clear timing, and staging.
2 years production experience
Proficiency in Maya or equivalent software preferred but not required
Background in traditional hand-drawn, computer, or stop-motion animation
Art Background. Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art, Illustration, Computer Graphics preferred
Degrees in Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering or equivalent experience helpful but not required

We are looking for individuals who have the ability and background experience to execute a broad range of VFX tasks including modeling, rigging, animation and lighting. Working with a team, including a lead artist and supervisors, a Depth Artist must creatively interpret and apply stereo concepts. We’re looking for individuals with a good “stereo eye,” a strong understanding of 3-dimensional space (be it from previous stereo experience or from an artistic background), a working knowledge of Nuke and Maya, and a healthy dose of team spirit. Taking direction/critiques, interpreting notes and learning/applying new skills are key parts of everyday life in our studio.

Responsibilities
The Digital & Post Production team is involved in animation, visual effects, editorial, and post production aspects of animated series production.

This internship position will be involved with helping during the post/finishing end of the production of episodes.  Assisting the effects artist and animators to track work, as well as assisting the post supervisors in the finishing of episodes.

• Organize and track notes on shots
• Assist with publicity requests, routing artwork to partners
• Assist tracking of elements, through post process to mastering.
Basic Qualifications
• All students must be eligible to work in the US
• All students must be at least 18 years old
• You must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class – OR – be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months – OR – be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program in order to qualify for this internship.
• All students must be available to work up to 40 hours/week.
• All students must be available during the months of May/June through August/September for the 12-15 week program.
All students must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship
• Strong interest in film/television production
• Proven strong organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects and Photoshop
• Background in coding, Python preferred
• Understanding of animation production.
