What is your name and your current occupation?
My name is Mark Salisbury. I am currently the series director, animation producer and editor for Nickelodeon’s “Bubble Guppies”.

What are some of the crazier jobs you had before getting into animation?
Well…lets see. In the early to mid 90’s I was the defensive back coach for Yale University, a resume specialist at Kinko’s, a caricature artist in Washington, DC, a bouncer, and a bartender
What are some of your favorite projects you’re proud to have been a part of?
This is a tough question, because most every project I have done, I’ve completely sunk myself into. The TMNT shorts were great because they were the first real products to come out of the company I founded, Peach Nova Productions. There were 4 of us and we cranked those things out fast and still maintained a high quality of animation and design. I love 8 Bit design so the Mocap LLC show open I did was lots of fun.  Having my kids watch and enjoy the shows I make is really one of the best experiences I’ve had. So I need to put, Bubble Guppies, Little Bill, Mighty Bug 5 in there, as well as a couple of Nickelodeon pilots that never made it to air.  The Dr. Tran shorts were a lot of fun to animate as well.
How did you become interested in animation?
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been making text books into flip books and once my family got a VCR I took to pausing Bugs Bunny shorts and tracing the TV, frame at a time.
Where are you from and how did you get into the animation business?

What is your name and your current occupation?
Our names are Elena and Olivia Ceballos. We are 17 year old twin sisters and are currently in high school. We plan to attend an art college that would help us in our artistic endeavors, and to study animation along the way.

What are some of your favorite projects you’re proud to have been a part of?
So far, we have helped with some backdrops for our school plays, and are currently working on commissions for various people. We hope to take part in something bigger! Although those things may seem like small, insignificant projects, we know that it will help us with a basic understanding and foundation for much bigger business opportunities.

What is your name and your current occupation?

What are some of the crazier jobs you had before getting into animation?
Well I got into animation pretty early, when I was 21 so there’s not to much craziness that went down. I grew up in a pretty small town in Ohio and there wasn’t that much art to do. I painted lots of murals for the local high school, restaurants, football t-shirts, band logos, jacket patch designs, backdrops for theatres and photo studios, signage for businesses, basically anything that involved some form of art I tried it. I took it all very professional and I knew when to say no to a job that would later turn out to be a pain.

What are some of your favorite projects you’re proud to have been a part of? 
It would have to be my first job at Fox Feature animation doing storyboards for Anastasia. It was an amazing learning experience both professionally and personally. It was scary that everything was so new and everyone was better than me but man did I learn quick and I got to work with one of my favorite animators/directors Don Blueth.  My other favorite project would have to be my own Doodle A Day project. Where I am still to this day drawing and painting my own ideas and stories and posting on lines through blogs, and art site. I love the absolute freedom that it gives me.

How did you become interested in animation? 
I started drawing around seven years old before that I scribbled a lot but I was always interested in art. As a kid I watched a lot of cartoons. Selling door-to-door magazines, distributing fliers, and labor work in garment construction factories.

What are some of your favorite projects you’re proud to have been a part of?
“Tom & Jerry” shows for Warner Bros Animation in the US. And “Chhota Bheem” and four-part movie series “Krishna” for Green Gold Animation (GGA) back in India.

What is your name and your current occupation?
Tony Seruno and I’m a character designer at DreamWorks Animation.

 

What are some of the crazier jobs you had before getting into animation?
In college I worked as a maintenance worker at micro chip manufacturing plant, waiter at a Mongolian BBQ, a Valet at one of Minneapolis’ top night clubs, and also worked as a production assistant on a national cable TV show.

 

What are some of your favorite projects you’re proud to have been a part of?
I’ve worked on a lot of projects over the years. The ones that stand out are a few episodes of The Simpson’s from season 6 and 7. The Road to El Dorado will always be a sentimental favorite due to the fact it was my very first project as a character designer. Recent ones would have to be Kung Fu Panda, How to Train your Dragon, and Neighbor from Hell.
