DIRECTV’s Product Ideation Group is seekingan Animation Supervisor.
The Product Ideation Group is a newlyformed team within Digital Product Strategy, responsible for early stage ideationacross all verticals of DIRECTV. We are chartered with bringing thecustomer early into the process, and driving design thinking for productdevelopment over a long-term horizon. As a newly formed team, it’s anexciting time to join. Not only are we involved in product ideation, wealso play a critical role in developing user experience strategy atDIRECTV.
The Animation Supervisor will support theProduct Ideation group in designing and testing concepts for new and existingdigital products. The ideal candidate possesses a broad range of experience in animation,visual design, and animation techniques. Additionally, this role will assist in overseeing and managing freelancers and new hires as they pertain to animation production.
Responsibilities:
- Creating 3D animated graphics forin-house productions.
- Supervising animators and designers.
- Consulting on story and design ofproductions.
- Troubleshooting new technologies andmethodologies as they pertain to production.
- Creating and maintaining aproduction workflow as it pertains to animation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an interactive orgraphic design discipline or equivalent experience.
- 2-3 years of animation experience.
- Exceptional visual design skills.
- Fluency in 3D animation software.
- Good communicator who can workcollaboratively.
