What are some of the crazier jobs you had before getting into animation?
Working at a telemarketing company. It was crazy because you needed to get into character as if you are going to act in a play or film. I created so many characters to sell the services we offered over the phone, the character of choice depended on who I was speaking to on the other line. Now you know, when a telemarketer or bill collector calls you, just remember, they need act in order for you to budge into paying, so don’t take it personal. 🙂

Back home in Ireland I worked in a factory doing injection molding for cell phones with some of the funniest and loveliest women I have ever known. Those were great days. A daughter of a publican in Ireland, naturally I have many bar stories to tell but the most enlightening days were as barmaid in Hayden’s Hotel during the Ballinasloe Horse Fair , the oldest fair in Ireland, where people come to trade horses from all over the world and from every nook and cranny of Ireland. This was my first glimpse  of how complex and varied us folk are, and how feckin’ strange you all are.

What are some of the crazier jobs you had before getting into animation?
I drove a tractor on a farm for two years in Junior high school pulling trees out of the ground and driving the product from the fields to the barn.  The farmer wanted me to work because I was the only one he knew that could speak spanish to the workers.  It was a wine farm with apples and grapes,  He told me I could eat all the grapes and apples I wanted.  My first big bite made me realize why he said that, fruit for wine production tastes like ass.
I went for one day with a farmer to take care of horses.  He had me put on a large glove that went to my shoulders and showed me my job of un-constipating horses.  All the farmer saw after training me was a burst of dust and by backside as I go out of there.  Soon after I landed an animation job at Warner.
