Disney’s Moana Teaser Trailer

Dwayne Johnson stars as demi-god Moana in Disney’s new animated film Moana, that is slated for a Thanksgiving release this year.

The official trailer of Walt Disney Studios’ latest animation film Moana is here and it features the voice of global superstar Dwayne Johnson in the role of Maui, a legendary demi-god. Moana is an animated 3D-musical-adventure-fantasy film based on South Pacific folklore. The film also features the voice of Auli’i Cravalho in the titular role of Moana. The film features computer-generated animation as well as traditional animation. Maui’s tattoos, in the film, as you will see in the trailer, are hand-drawn and traditionally animated. This is the second time that the Furious 7 actor will provide voice for an animated film. His earlier animated venture was the moderately successful Planet 51.

Moana is set to release on November 23 this year, during Thanksgiving.

‘Beauty And The Beast’ Trailer: Timeless Animation Classic Goes Live-Action

Geeks of Doom has the new live action Beauty and the Beast teaser trailer up.

From the site:

As far as anticipation goes, Beauty and the Beast is the highest considering the film was a part of Disney’s animation renaissance that occurred in the 90s. The 1991 film was one of the first animated films nominated for a Best Picture Oscar. It was also known for its incredible score and songs, so director Bill Condon has his work cut out for him for this new version. But judging by those early reactions at D23 and how we were all gushing when we saw Luke Evans as the muscle-bound meathead hunter Gaston and Josh Gad as Le Fou Gaston’s diminutive and bumbling sidekick belt out a tune, I think Disney has a pretty solid hit on their hands. Their track record for turning their animated film library into live-action films has been one hit after another. Disney’s current filmmaking trend has been transforming their animated classics into successful live-action hits – as noted byCinderella and most recently The Jungle Book. So it should be interesting how that all holds up in the coming years. If anything, the positive reaction and (possible) success of Beauty and the Beast will only give the studio more reason to continue to keep giving more live-action tellings or twists to their previously animated films.

Privisa trailer

Privisa is an upcoming animated feature film made in Poland, which is all about a kid who just does not want to grow up.

From the creators:

It tells the story of Wilkan, son of the great hunter Borzymir who is about to get his first haircut. He finds out that the elders of the tribe announced the list of the oldest who will be soon “taking the ritual of last journey”. His beloved grandfather Stanimir is among them. The distraught boy will do everything to stop the ceremony and that gets him and the whole village (Privisa) in a lot of trouble.

There comes a time in everyone’s life to let go of illusions and confront their inner demons. For Wolfin – 11 years old, long-haired, freckled boy – this time has just arrived. “Privisa” is a fascinating tale about family, growing up and taking responsibility.
