What is your name and your current occupation?
My Name is Albert Orozco, animator/artist

What are some of the crazier jobs you had before getting into animation? 
I worked at sonic drive in and we got robbed three time lucky i had those days off. We had free food for days but not good for the body. It was a great growing experience for me and it was like a family i had on the side.

What are some of your favorite projects you’re proud to have been a part of? 
I am proud of my Stewie animation rendition of rocket man because my professor told me I did a great job in the amount of time i had which boosted my confidence.

How did you become interested in animation?
I became interested in animation at a very early age in loony tunes and many different types cartoons like pokemon, cow and chicken, ren and stimpy and video games especially Nintendo franchise had a huge impact on my love for animation. Shigeru Miyamoto created the most interesting and captivating characters I ever seen.

Where are you from and how did you get into the animation business? 
I’ve lived in dallas, texas all my life and i got into the business through school animating different projects.

What’s a typical day like for you with regards to your job? 
wake up do research and get inspired.

What part of your job do you like best? Why?  
Keep on working til i do land one.

What is the most difficult part for you about being in the business?
 Not landing a job.

What kind of technology do you work with on a daily basis?
I use Maya and adobe suite on my bootleg laptop\.

Describe a tough situation you had in life. 
I had a hard time when my father was murdered when i was ten, I really isolated myself from other kids and only talked to a few people. I have grown and learned that i have to create my path even though it has been rough.
Any side projects or you’re working on or hobbies you’d like to share details of? 
Im writing a storyboard for a game that one day hope to create about a kid in ancient times losing everything and grows to become stronger.
Any unusual talents or hobbies like tying a cherry stem with your tongue or metallurgy?
I can pop my knuckles at will any time only three in my family can do this, me, my dad, and my little sister.
Is there any advice you can give for an aspiring animation student or artist trying to break into the business?
 Never give up on your dreams, even if it takes forever like i have been waiting. Passion for this work will one day be validated. Dreams are great but if we dont keep trying they will remain dreams.
