ABOUT STUFF COMMERCIALS ANIMATION DEVELOPMENT FILMS

Part of being a Director of animated films is being able to visualize what you want and how each scene should be set up. Storyboards is the way we do that. Here is a collection of some of the storyboards I have done for various shows as well as some of my own storyboard work on various pilots and short cartoons I have in development here at Milowerx.
Enjoy!

Q and A
A storyboard for a commercial I am directing and designing as well about a nerd who longs to pick up hot chicks. God willing it will air during the 2008 Superbowl. Additionally you can see animatics for all three here.
(Note: Let the file load, then scroll to the end of the doc and then back up and the storyboard will appear.)

Panda Psychic
The 2nd in this series of five about a profit eating panda.
(Note: Let the file load, then scroll to the end of the doc and then back up and the storyboard will appear.)

Netjet
The third commercial, this one pokes fun at a certain fella who's name rymes with Crump.
(Note: Let the file load, then scroll to the end of the doc and then back up and the storyboard will appear.)

Flavio (OH YEAH! pilot)
Flavio involves a dishwashing Italian goat named Flavio. Oh Yeah just picked this one up. Can't wait to see this made. I believe this is the best idea I've ever created. Time will tell.
If you'd like to see the original pitched board check it out here.

Tutenstein Board 1 Here's one of the boards I recently did for Tutenstein. Tut loses The Scepter of Was. I really enjoyed working on Tutenstein. He was similar to Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes and I really had a lot of posing out his little pompus tirades.

Tutenstein Board 2 Here is another board from the series Tutenstein that I did. In this episode Tut is haunted by a Donkey Demon!

Planetary Pig-Package Smackage

One of the first characters we tried to make a cartoon about and really try and sell was Planetary Pig; an optimistic mechanically-challenged hog who along with his pessimistic allergy-prone cat named Cosmo worked for The Terrestrial Temp Agency. In Package Smackage they were told to deliver a package to Planet B. Sounds easy enough except that the home they're delivering to has a robotic dog that's been to told to "keep trespassers out!"

Findley the Firetruck storyboard

Here is a section of storyboard I did for the upcoming show Findley the Firetruck. The board topped out at a whopping 260 pgs. so I didn't think it necessary to put the entire thing up. Most people stop after a couple of dozen pages. I'm really happy with the way it came out and I can't wait to see it animated. If the pilot is any indication this promises to be an awesome preschool series!

Xiaolin Showdown-The
Evil Within
In this episode Clay gets posessed by an evil demon named Sibini

Xiaolin Showdown-See No Evil, Hear No Evil
the Monks have trouble getting along and fighting as a team.

Xiaolin Showdown-The Last Temptation of Raimundo
Will Rai go over to the Dark Side? Yessiree, if Wuya has anything to say about it!

Wild and Wooly!
After 10 million years Wooly the Mamoth comes back from a deep freeze. Is the wrold ready? I think not!
this was yet another potential short created for the What A Cartoon franchise. Sadly, (for me) it was passed on...

Xiaolin Showdown-The Black Vipers
Another 'board from Xiaolin Showdown. This one is about Jessie; Clay's sister coming to visit and stealing the Sheng-gon-Wu from them.

Xiaolin Showdown-The Shard of Lightning

From my most recent Directing gig. At Warner Bors. they ask you to storyboard out half of an act of the film in addition to directing. It can be alot of extra work but also rewarding because you are even more hands on with the way the film flows. Of course it keeps your hands "well-oiled" as well!

The Good, the Bad and the Squishy

Here's a short that I pitched to Cartoon Network about a killer whale named aptly Killer that tries to cash a pay check from his job at Water World and the fiasco that creates!

Figueroa Street
- You’re walking down the street and someone yells at you, "Hey stunato What'd you have the hiccups getting dressed this morning? Either that or a train wreck just hit your wardrobe closet!" You just stepped into Danny’s neighborhood. Danny Machelli is a 14-year-old lovable smart- ass that you don’t know whether to hug or strangle. Danny just can’t help turning everything into a gag, no matter what the consequence.

Baby Looney Toons
- From my work on the WB show.

Cool Patrol
- an old show my friend Harry and I did which was bought and then shelved by Universal, but hey, I can't complain I bought my house with the money!

Tom and Jerry
- A set of comic pages my friend Harry and I wrote and drew for Warner Bros. International Publishing after they saw our Itchy and Scratchy pages.

Piddle Oxbecker
- another storyboard of a pilot for Hanna Barbera's What a Cartoon show. Sadly, it was never made into a real cartoon.
Jerry Beck just recently did a film with OH Yeah that is sort of similar. Cool!
