MILOWERX: Carlosaurus Rex

I got a call from the Mind of Mencia show that they wanted me to do a quick intro for one of Carlos' skits called Carlosaurus Rex which was a spoof on the old Barney show. I animated it by hand and then scanned it into Flash and colored it. the studio's vfx division added the background and text afterwards.

Here's the pencil test of the animation. It was done entirely on paper and then scanned in to Photoshop and imported into Flash.

And here's the clean up of the clip. I cleaned it all up with a Pentel marker and scanned it in again in Photoshop; then imported it into Flash. From there I colored the sequence as well.

Here's the final piece, it took me about two days to complete this and it was a ton of fun to woirk on> they even gave me tickets to the show they were doing this for so I am somewhere in the audience in this clip(but of course you can't see me)! Very cool!

So today is a great day for me... we finally commenced production of a script for an "as-yet-to-be-disclosed" property. Not that we've started writing it yet but we are talking about story now which is awesome! (MORE...)
