What is your name and your current occupation?
My name Sarmad Mohammed & i am games designer .illustrator animator .artist & i currently a freelancing artist some of my project illustrated books & storyboards and character designs but i am usually designed games.
What are some of the crazier jobs you had before getting into animation?
I was sculptor artist & my previous job it is children web designer.
What are some of your favorite projects you’re proud to have been a part of?
I had been in any project as serial animation and as storyboard artist in many films.  1.story board for pana film. 2.storyboard angel’s friends I’m not proud of anything yet but I hope i’ll get this feeling some day.
Where are you from and how did you get into the animation business?
I am originally from Iraq but i live in Turkey. I had worked 7 years in animation area as cleaner and later inbetweener then an animator but i like character design very much.  I get advice from friend & because of him i get into animation business .

What’s a typical day like for you with regards to your job?
I usually work all day at my regular job especially i like work in night . i freelance from home that give me more opportunity to live my life with my family and give me opportunities to managing my work & of course learning experience work 7 days in week sometimes i give myself holiday what i ever want.

What part of your job do you like best? Why?
Im very thankful for my family and I am thankful for my clients too ,and i’m very thankful to have wonderful people around me.

What part of your job do you like least? Why?
Sometimes get work from different locations in the same time and deadline the problem .

What kind of technology do you work with on a daily basis, how has technology changed in the last few years in your field and how has that impacted you in your job?
A PC tablet pc.

What is the most difficult part for you about being in the business?
Some of my clients themselves does not know what they want.

In your travels, have you had any brushes with animation greatness?
Not yet 🙂

Describe a tough situation you had in life.
Just getting into the industry was hard for me, after i graduated from university i had to choose between being sculptor and animator.

Any side projects you’re working on that you’d like to share details of?
I have an idea to design a game.

Any unusual talents or hobbies like tying a cherry stem with your tongue or metallurgy?
I like watching films & fishing .camping & of course barbecue.

Is there any advice you can give for an aspiring animation student or artist trying to break into the business?
Try to keep moving all the time forward don’t stop never .  Try again & again motivate your self remember no pain no gain no guts’ no glory 🙂
